About The Position

Perform Imaging Studies: Execute both routine and complex ultrasound exams, manually maneuvering transducers to scan tissues and body structures for medical interpretation. Operate & Maintain Equipment: Set up, adjust, and ensure the proper functioning of ultrasound machinery, reporting any malfunctions and utilizing lock/tag-out procedures when necessary. Identify Clinical Findings: Recognize key anatomical structures, artifacts, pathologies (diseases or abnormalities), and equipment limitations during examinations. Manage Quality & Safety: Implement safety standards, perform quality control, and ensure accurate, high-quality images and patient data are promptly submitted to PACS (the medical imaging network). Maintain Compliance & Environment: Keep the department clean and orderly while strictly adhering to all regulatory agency guidelines.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Must be board-eligible upon hire date.
  • Registered Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Must be board-eligible upon hire date.
  • Registered Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Registered Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Must be board-eligible upon hire date.
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree required.
