Full-time position, 40 hours per week, and seasonal (contract from August to November 2026). Start date as soon as possible. Possibility of a permanent position after the seasonal contract.

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Technician in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, or Bachelor of Science.
• Laboratory experience with GCMS and GCFID.
• Good computer skills.
• Good knowledge of written and spoken French.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Be well-organized and deadline-oriented.
• Ability to work with good humor in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform various organic chemistry procedures on environmental samples (water and soil) such as sample weighing, digestions for metal analysis, etc.
• Perform laboratory analyses with GCMS and GCFID.
• Provide regular laboratory support including washing glassware, sample preparation, workstation maintenance, and waste disposal.
• Use of certain basic laboratory instruments.
• Constant monitoring of samples to ensure deadlines are met.
• Follow established procedures and comply with the quality system at all times.
• Follow established health and safety measures at all times.
