About The Position

The work location is ALS Géochimie, Val-d’Or, Québec. You will work under the supervision of the Sample Preparation Supervisor. Your general responsibility is to prepare client samples for analysis in our laboratories. Candidates must have the ability to periodically lift weights throughout the day.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 months (90 days) of experience in a commercial mineral laboratory
- Good communication and manual skills
- Familiarity with all safety rules for the laboratory and sample preparation

Responsibilities
- P1 tasks
- Organize samples, verify shipping notices, and digitize sample weights independently
- Perform special preparation procedures such as mixing, screening metallic substances, and handling special requests
- Conduct quality control checks on rejects and pulp
- Assist in training/tutoring new employees on basic procedures
- Inspect equipment and report any required adjustments to senior personnel
- Correctly apply products and methods as per standards
- Perform other tasks assigned by the director, assistant director, or supervisors
