The role of Service Technician is responsible for working on a day-to-day basis with the members of the Space Rentals team towards a common objective of increasing the visibility of ATCO Structures products in the respective market while maintaining a superior level of customer service. This position reports to the Branch Manager.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Must be safety-oriented, and a good team player with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, work well in a changing environment, and possess a sense of urgency.
  • Able to carry out moderate to heavy lifting duties and operate cleaning equipment.
  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Equipment Certifications (Asset), Experience or certification in operating equipment such as loaders, forklifts, or scissor lifts is considered an asset. Training and certification can be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on the rental fleet, including carpentry, basic electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, painting, flooring, roofing, doors, windows, and more.
  • Clean jobsite trailers upon return from rental (floors, walls, ceilings, windows, light fixtures, surfaces, etc.) to ensure a high standard of quality.
  • Diagnose technical issues and apply the necessary corrective actions to ensure unit compliance and performance.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance and document all interventions in work orders.
  • Load, unload, and handle units in accordance with established procedures.
  • Use tools and equipment safely and in compliance with company practices and policies.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels for all equipment, tools, and materials required to perform service tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in all indoor and outdoor areas of the facility, including snow removal from exterior zones when required.
  • Perform full inspections of units prior to departure and upon return from rental.
  • Serve as a point of contact with operations, receive requests, and help prioritize daily tasks.
  • Move, organize, and optimize the positioning of units in the yard to support operational efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
