About The Position

Patterson is seeking a Service Technician for their Montreal branch, focusing on the repair of bio-medical (dental) devices and equipment. The role involves performing maintenance and repairs on various dental equipment and products, adhering to manufacturer guidelines. Requirements

  • Electronics diploma or any other relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of field repair work experience in the dental or medical environment.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and good problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated worker with great team spirit and manual skills.
  • Knowledge of the MS Office suite.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken French.
  • Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
  • The employee will work 40% with English-speaking customers and 60% with suppliers outside Quebec.
  • All technical support from our Canadian and American suppliers is offered exclusively in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SAP software an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Determines the parts, supplies or tools required to complete service requests.
  • Uses, maintains and secures test devices and tools used to adjust, calibrate and repair equipment.
  • Repairs equipment to manufacturer specs.
  • Ensures the service commitments are met within standard response time.
  • Work with Sales Representatives' to present Maintenance Agreements to customers.
  • Follow repair and manufacturer schedules for customers on Service Agreements.
  • Complete all required paperwork i.e. work orders, repair tags, equipment loaner tags.
  • Learns and follows specific manufacturer guidelines for repairs as well as all company policies related to asepsis.
  • Trains customers on the use and basic maintenance of all equipment sold.
  • Ensures proper vehicle maintenance guidelines and safe driving habits are followed.
  • Manages inventory and restocks when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Respond autonomously to customer calls assigned, determine the nature of the problem of a particular module or component.
  • Communicate any unusual problems to the technical service coordinator after each call.
  • Load, deliver, install, configure and train customers on the use and basic maintenance of all equipment sold.
  • Return defective modules or parts to headquarters and identify items.
  • Maintain and stock the truck's parts inventory.
