About The Position

The Production Engineering Specialist works with engineering staff to test and troubleshoot hardware. The role may involve developing test specifications and methods, modifying diagrams, procedures, and hardware rework instructions, and preparing technical reports that summarize findings and recommend solutions to technical problems. This hands-on position offers experience relevant to future work as a design engineer, product engineer, or program manager. The position supports production testing of microwave hardware and multifunction thin-film microwave integrated circuits (MICs), and involves coordinating with manufacturing engineers and setting up and calibrating an automated test station.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Must be a U.S. Person as defined under U.S. export control laws, or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Work with production staff to perform and document testing of microwave hardware.
Perform and document tuning and test results on multifunction thin-film microwave integrated circuits (MICs).
Work closely with manufacturing engineers as part of a product team, providing feedback on modules and subsystem products.
Set up and calibrate the automated test station.
Test and troubleshoot hardware with engineering staff.
Develop test specifications and methods, and modify diagrams, procedures, and hardware rework instructions as needed.
Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
