About The Position

The Production Engineering Specialist position works with engineering staff to test and troubleshoot hardware. The role may develop test specifications and methods, modify diagrams, procedures, and hardware rework instructions, and prepare technical reports that summarize findings and recommend solutions to technical problems. This hands-on work provides experience relevant to future design engineer, product engineer, or program manager roles. The position works with production staff to test microwave hardware and multifunction thin-film microwave integrated circuits (MICs), and collaborates with manufacturing engineers as part of a product team. It also involves setting up and calibrating an automated test station.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Must be a U.S. Person under U.S. export laws, or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license.
Proficient written and verbal skills.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work with production staff to perform and document testing of microwave hardware.
Perform and document tuning and test results on multifunction thin-film microwave integrated circuits (MICs).
Work closely with manufacturing engineers as part of a product team, providing feedback on modules and subsystem products.
Set up and calibrate the automated test station.
Test and troubleshoot hardware with engineering staff.
Develop test specifications and methods, and modify diagrams, procedures, and hardware rework instructions as needed.
Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
