The Shipping Department prepares, processes, and delivers finished products and customer orders accurately and on time. Team members pick, pack, label, stage, and load shipments while maintaining inventory accuracy and following established shipping and safety procedures. The work is fast-paced and may involve occasional standup forklift operation and regular lifting, moving, and handling of materials. Team members are expected to cross-train across multiple workstations to support operational flexibility and departmental goals. The role is based at the Bendix Distribution Center Shipping workstation and may involve bin picking, ASRS picking, truck packing, or small-package packing. Bin pickers use a tablet to locate and retrieve goods from storage and move them by cart to the Blue Bin Consolidation Area. ASRS pickers monitor and operate the automated storage system, manage system transactions, replenish inventory, and deliver materials to workstations. Truck packers verify and pack customer orders into pallet boxes or onto pallets, apply labels, prepare documentation, and ready loads for transportation. Small-package packers use a computer-based shipping system to generate labels, verify orders, package them, and stage them for shipment. Work takes place in a climate-controlled environment that may be noisy and has frequent forklift traffic. Employees work collaboratively to maintain production flow and meet output pace requirements throughout the shift. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, organization, safety, and the ability to meet production, quality, and safety standards.
