About The Position

As a Technician - Service Repair, you will provide product demonstrations, equipment installation, diagnostics and schedule repairs on-site at customer locations. You will develop and present proposals and quotes to clients for repair, service and rental follow-up. You will also train customer employees on how to maintain equipment. You will work closely with sales representatives regarding customer equipment rental and repair status.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License, with a satisfactory driving record required
  • High School Degree or Equivalent
  • Licenses/Certificates/Designations - WHMIS, TDG, Forklift
  • 2 years required, 3 years preferred of service and repair experience
  • 2 years required, 3 years preferred of customer service experience
  • 2 years required, 3 years preferred of diagnostic experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • TDG certified, based on possible movement of asbestos containing materials
  • WHMIS certified – based on local chemicals and products
  • Using hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other handling equipment devices
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

  • Follows service and repair procedures log.
  • Ensures items are tagged and calibrated and in ready to use condition for rental equipment.
  • Enters rental and repair orders in wholesale distribution system.
  • Provides on-site and in-house product demonstrations, including use of air filtration and respiratory equipment.
  • Service and repair restoration, abatement, respiratory and confined space equipment.
  • Expedites orders and follow up with customers relating to service orders.
  • Conducts in-house or on-site DOP testing.
  • Conducts respiratory fit testing service either in-house or at customer’s site.
  • Conducts HazSafeID inspections.
  • Updates customers and sales reps with equipment rental and repairs status.
  • Prepares for, attends, and participates in branch and departmental meetings.
  • Remains current on industry trends, market activity, competitor products and technical bulletins provided by suppliers.
  • Performs daily safety inspections of equipment and service vehicles.
  • Provides backup to customer service and warehouse staff.
