About The Position

CVS Health is hiring a full-time Packing/Shipping Technician for its Mail Order Pharmacy in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The role helps ensure patients receive prescription medications in a timely manner and works in a closed-door pharmacy setting without direct customer interaction. The technician performs daily packing and shipping functions according to standard operating procedures and works under the direct supervision of Lead Technicians and Pharmacy Supervisors. The technician may be cross-trained in other functions, including operating automated packing machines and automated or manual drug dispensing. Additional duties may include loading automated dispensing machines, validating orders, packaging prescriptions, and preparing them for delivery. The role requires reliability, accuracy, professionalism, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. The schedule is Thursday and Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., plus a fourth day of the employee’s choice from Monday through Wednesday. The position guarantees 40 hours per week and may require business-required overtime. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour, with a $1.00 shift differential; the stated pay range is $17.00–$28.46 per hour. The position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program.

Requirements

Regular and predictable attendance in accordance with company policy.
Ability to work business-required overtime when needed.
Hold a current, unrestricted Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy license as a pharmacy technician or trainee on the first day of employment.
Provide verification of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
Ability to remain on one's feet for sustained periods and move between or within work areas.
Ability to occasionally lift, reach, twist, turn, bend, stoop, and walk while moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer screen, reading, and visually inspecting small parts.
Ability to concentrate on a task over time without distraction.
Manual dexterity for picking, pinching, typing, or other work primarily using the fingers.
Ability to extend the hands and arms in any direction.
Ability to bend forward and downward at the waist and stoop to a considerable degree, using the lower extremities and back muscles.
Ability to communicate spoken ideas and convey detailed or important instructions accurately.
Ability to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels, with or without correction, and receive detailed information through oral communication.
