About The Position

The technician works in the Noise and Vibration / Chassis Dyno Lab to help ensure first-time quality and on-time delivery of test data. The role supports engineering groups responsible for meeting federal and GM internal requirements. It calls for strong communication and interpersonal skills to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision and collaborate with different organizations during vehicle development. The technician plans, builds, installs, and removes test instrumentation; sets up and troubleshoots test automation systems and non-intrusive driving robots; and evaluates test results to produce quality data according to Vehicle Technical Specifications, federal regulatory requirements, and documented GMW and NHTSA procedures. The role also involves investigating mechanical and electrical operating difficulties, troubleshooting test equipment and property, coordinating workloads and equipment calibration, and installing, removing, and monitoring test vehicles. Work includes using vehicle communication tools such as INCA, V-spy, General CAN, and NeoVi. This is a full-time, onsite role. The position is not eligible for relocation benefits, and GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
