Technician, IT Scientific Support

Currently, we are looking to add an IT Scientific Support Technician to the team:
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience.
- Experience with analytical instrumentation and software such as Agilent OpenLab, Thermo Fisher Chromeleon, Waters Empower, etc.
- Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC/GC-MS, or LC/LC-MS instruments as end-user or technical support.
- Availability to work on-site in Ann Arbor during normal business hours and provide occasional off-hours support.

Nice To Haves
- Strong background in analytical chemistry in academic or industrial environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all IT responsibilities for scientific/analytical software, lab instrument control suites, and lab instrument hardware.
- Maintain the company’s backup procedures for lab instruments and data.
- Responsible for support, resolving or escalating incidents for on-site and remote users.
- Provide end-user support for scientific systems, computers, printers, phone system, software, and hardware.
- Perform software installation and maintenance.
- Responsible for conference room equipment setup, operation, and maintenance.
- Perform IT hardware asset lifecycle duties (deployment, auditing, disposal).
- Develop and maintain documented standard operating procedures for IT systems.
