About The Position

Primary responsibilities will include various aspects of maintenance and support for facilities, utility equipment, and nanofabrication processing equipment. This position will require the use of technical manuals, on-line resources, and OEM representatives to maintain the equipment operational with a minimum of downtime. Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cleanliness protocols in a "cleanroom" facility are mandatory.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience (for Technician IV).
Four years of related experience (for Senior Technician I).
Hands-on experience with the maintenance and operation of a variety of nanofabrication tools, such as thin film deposition, photolithography, metrology, and reactive ion etching tools.
Troubleshooting a variety of hardware and software issues on this equipment.
Working knowledge of the facilities associated with a Class 100 cleanroom, such as CDA, N2, air handlers, dirty air scrubbers, and fan filter units.

Nice To Haves

Basic level of experience for Technician III.
Moderate level of experience for Technician IV.
Advanced level of experience for Senior Technician I.

Responsibilities

Use technical manuals, on-line resources, and OEM representatives to maintain equipment operational with a minimum of downtime.
Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cleanliness protocols in a cleanroom facility.
Perform routine troubleshooting and maintenance functions with minimal supervision after substantial on-the-job training.
Work in support of technicians or specialized maintenance contractors or OEMs on more complex equipment interventions.
Work with other contractors, engineers, and quality control personnel regarding changes or improvements to the systems.
Demonstrate continuous personal pursuit to increasing job knowledge and proficiency with different systems.
Maintain a positive, professional, and customer-oriented attitude.
Work well with AggieFab full-time staff members and undergraduate student workers.
Perform routine troubleshooting and maintenance functions with no supervision after training (for Technician IV).
Train and guide junior members of the team rapidly (for Senior Technician I).
Conduct work with organization and discipline (for Senior Technician I).
Make strategic decisions about the management of the AggieFab infrastructure (for Senior Technician I).
