About The Position

Technicians work in an outside warehouse environment. They are responsible for loading and unloading drums, totes, and containers of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials from trucks. This role also involves sampling the contents of drums, totes, and containers, and consolidating drum contents into larger containers for processing. Technicians will operate a Forklift under company safety standards; forklift license is not required as company-provided training is available.

Requirements

2 or more years of related experience
Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.

Nice To Haves

Ability to use heavy and light equipment, such as forklift, and pallet-jack.
Skilled using hand and shop tools, and instruments.
Demonstrates, accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.
Must be able to prioritize, stay focused and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.
Intermediate knowledge of HAZ classes and waste codes.
Ability to identify consolidation materials and streams.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of the Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA).
Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth, promotes the Company’s safety standards.
A valid driver’s license may be required for some positions.
