About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II supports production operations by performing preventative electrical/mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, and performing repairs and maintenance of the facility. The position will start and train on the 1st shift, then move to the 3rd shift schedule after training is complete. The 1st shift schedule is Monday - Friday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, and the 3rd shift schedule is Monday- Friday 9 pm - 5:30 AM. Overtime is expected as needed, including some weekends.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school preferred.
At least 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of overhead cranes, bearings, hydraulics, and drives.
Must have low voltage electrical knowledge.
Experience in operating, troubleshooting and repairing various types of production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Basic PLC knowledge/experience.
Basic automotive/trailer maintenance knowledge.
Must have basic knowledge of lockout tag out and proper PPE.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience in welding and fabricating preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
Analyze, troubleshoot and repair equipment - overhead cranes, roll formers, press brakes and resistance welders.
Assist with the servicing and repairing of more complex equipment.
Comply with applicable regulations and the department’s Safety program.
Perform general building repairs and maintenance.
Perform general trailer and vehicle maintenance on yard equipment- forklifts, yard trucks, and shop vehicles.
Adhere to safety protocols.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required.
