About The Position

NSF is seeking a Technician II for the Exposures Lab – Pipes Team. This entry-level opportunity is suited to someone with basic laboratory skills and an aptitude for understanding and using machines or tools. The position supports product certification work and involves exposing water system components to aqueous solutions to help determine possible product contaminants. Experience with plumbing equipment is a plus. The role offers an opportunity to learn about product certification and begin a career in the sciences at a mission-driven company.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, plus laboratory experience and/or college-level laboratory coursework.
• One to five years of related experience.
• Knowledge of standard laboratory procedures, including use of balances and pipets.
• Ability to work well in a production team environment.
• Mechanical aptitude to work with water system components.

Nice To Haves

• AAS degree.
• Experience with plumbing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory procedures according to defined processes and standard operating procedures to support product certification.
• Expose water system components to aqueous solutions to help determine possible product contaminants.
• Follow quality and documentation requirements for all laboratory work.
• Properly maintain required laboratory equipment.
