Technician II Labs - Exposures
About The Position
NSF is seeking a Technician II for the Exposures Lab - Mechanical Team. This entry-level opportunity supports product certification work and offers a chance to begin a career in the sciences at a mission-driven company. The role requires basic laboratory skills and an aptitude for understanding and using machines or tools; experience with plumbing equipment is a plus. The Technician II performs laboratory procedures according to defined processes and standard operating procedures. The work includes exposing water system components to aqueous solutions to help determine possible product contaminants, while meeting laboratory quality and documentation requirements and maintaining required equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, plus laboratory experience and/or college-level laboratory coursework.
- One to five years of related experience.
- Knowledge of standard laboratory procedures, including use of balances and pipets.
- Ability to work well in a production team environment.
- Mechanical aptitude to work with water system components.
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree.
- Experience with plumbing equipment.
