About The Position
Ground/Water Treatment & Technology, LLC (GWTT), an environmental contractor based in Colonial Heights, Virginia, provides design/build services for temporary and permanent treatment systems, operation and maintenance of soil, groundwater, and wastewater treatment systems, and construction, dewatering, remediation, and environmental construction services. GWTT is hiring a full-time Technician I to work in its shop. The role supports shop and yard operations and may involve local travel and occasional weekend work. Overtime may be needed. The successful candidate will be dependable, self-motivated, a team player, and goal oriented. Some environmental-field experience is preferred, but GWTT is willing to train the right candidate. OSHA 40-hour training is preferred and may be provided. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Requirements

- Some environmental-field experience is preferred, but not required.
Nice To Haves
- Construction background; plumbing or carpentry experience is helpful.
- OSHA 40-hour training is preferred; training may be provided to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine equipment maintenance.
- Operate a forklift and telehandler.
- Perform basic assembly using hand tools.
- Load and unload trucks and receive materials.
- Clean and power wash equipment, restock materials, and perform related tasks.
- Maintain shop and yard cleanliness, including sweeping, cleaning common areas, emptying trash cans, removing snow, and maintaining the yard.
- Pick up and deliver materials as needed.
- Deliver equipment using a rack truck.
- Support the office manager.
- Work overtime when needed; weekend work may occasionally be required.
