About The Position
At Main Event, Technicians maintain the center’s games, entertainment options, equipment, building, and systems, ensuring they operate properly and safely. The role involves electrical, mechanical, and technical work, including construction, repairs, preventive maintenance, and scheduled maintenance. Technicians also uphold safety and sanitation standards, keep the mechanic shop and facility organized and clean, maintain inventory records, and welcome and engage with guests. Paid on-the-job training is provided.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Guest-focused mindset.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
- Ability to learn and use multiple systems that support the business.
- General knowledge or skills in repairing and maintaining automated bowling equipment and arcade games.
- Skill in the practical application of electronics, mechanics, and hydraulics.
- Basic working knowledge of hand tools and ability to use and handle tools to perform work.
- Ability to perform work on ladders.
- Ability to handle equipment weighing up to 250 pounds.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
- Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Management, Team Members, and Guests.
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical, mechanical, and technical work related to construction, repairs, preventive maintenance, and scheduled maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair games, tellers, pinsetters, and related equipment.
- Disassemble, replace, and repair mechanical and electrical components or parts, including bearings, coils, armatures, and wiring.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Order supplies, tools, and materials as needed.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the mechanic shop and facility.
- Uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
- Welcome and engage with guests as a FUN ambassador.
