About The Position

North Austin Nissan, part of the locally owned and family-operated Continental Automotive Group, is hiring an Express Lube Technician. This role offers a career path for candidates interested in learning automotive service, with training provided and opportunities to work on a variety of Nissan vehicles using newer equipment. The position is intended for someone who can perform basic maintenance services, follow safety procedures, and contribute in a fast-paced team environment. The company describes potential advancement to an advanced Main Shop Technician in 3–5 years, with potential earnings of $60,000 per year or more. The role offers $20 per clock hour in training pay for the first pay period and starts at $22.50 per flag hour for candidates with experience. The company guarantees 50 hours per pay period through the end of 2026. Scheduling is flexible within the shop’s operating hours: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Saturday. Requirements

At least 6 months of experience in an express lube position in a high-volume environment.
Interest in cars.
Willingness to follow safety procedures and work safely.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic presence in a team environment.
Ability to operate both standard and automatic vehicles.
A valid driver's license held for at least 1 year and a good driving record.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Strong work ethic.
Flexible and willing to work with different schedules.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance services, fluid exchanges, and filter replacement.
Perform tire rotations, flat repairs, and computerized tire balancing.
Make brake system adjustments.
Conduct basic vehicle inspections.
Follow safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
