About The Position

Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-bed acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking an ER Tech for our Emergency Department. This is a full-time, 12-hour, variable-shift position. This position reports to the Director of Critical Care Services.

Requirements

• Current BLS required.
• AB508, MAB, CPI or equivalent training within 90 days of hire/transfer/promotion date.

Nice To Haves

• EMT/CNA or MA certification preferred.
• 1 year as an ER Tech, C.N.A. or MA in a hospital setting preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• The ER Technician takes assignments and direction from the assigned Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse.
• The ER Tech position is directly responsible for the delivery of high quality, individualized basic patient care.
• The ER Tech supports the hospital mission and vision.
• The ER Tech utilizes knowledge of patient’s age, developmental status, spiritual and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care.
• This position contributes to the provision of safety and quality care that result in positive outcomes in patient care.
