About The Position
Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking an MRI Technologist for our M.R.I. Department. This is a per diem, 8-hour variable shift position reporting to the Director/Supervisor of Radiology.
Requirements
- CRT, ARRT-MRI, or ARMRIT/MRI Certification required.
- Current BLS certification required. Must be from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 1 year MRI experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes under the direct supervision of the Radiologist.
- Explain procedures to the patient, provide comfort, positioning, and immobilize the patient on the exam table.
- Set scan parameters, monitor video display of the area being scanned, and adjust density or contrast to improve image quality.
- Review and evaluate computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
- Use of safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
