About The Position

The Technician, Beverage & Chem is responsible for installing and servicing equipment—such as dishwashers, chemical dispensing equipment, and coffee, hot chocolate, and juice machines—primarily at customer sites. The technician works as a member of the department and organization and performs other assigned duties to support the company.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Six months to one year of equipment sales and/or maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license valid in the state.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of equipment sales and/or maintenance experience within the foodservice industry.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer service calls within two hours and provide 24-hour on-call coverage within assigned territories, including holidays, on a rotating basis.
• Maintain vehicle parts inventory; order and pick up parts for service calls as needed.
• Perform annual inventories of the shop, truck, parts, and equipment, as well as monthly inventories of equipment.
• Maintain service vans, including checking tire pressure and fluids and cleaning the interior and exterior; report vehicle repair needs to the Fleet Manager.
• Install and remove equipment, including dishwashers, chemical dispensing equipment, and coffee, hot chocolate, and juice machines.
• Evaluate and recondition returned equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance for customers.
• Maintain records, including service reports and equipment transfer sheets.
• Bill customers as required based on markups and taxes; maintain catalogs and price lists; and generate and respond to sales leads.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
