About The Position

At Arcem Entry Systems, the Technician Apprentice helps keep businesses running safely, securely, and efficiently by servicing commercial access systems. The role includes installing, servicing, and repairing a range of systems and components, as well as welding and fabrication and general service and repair work. The company provides ongoing training, tools, equipment, and opportunities for career growth.

The technician identifies opportunities to provide customers with products and services, maintains and submits job-related paperwork on time, installs quality products, and provides professional service. Employees must work safely and participate in an on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service. The role also includes collecting payment for completed jobs. A service truck is provided once lead status is earned.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Welding and/or electrical experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience servicing and installing commercial garage doors.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair commercial access systems, including garage doors, operators, gate operators, rolling steel doors, high-speed doors, dock levelers, commercial fencing, and related components.
• Weld and fabricate, and perform general service and repair work across a variety of projects.
• Identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services.
• Track and maintain job-related paperwork and submit it in a timely manner.
• Install quality products and provide professional services.
• Operate in a safety-conscious manner while performing job duties.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service.
• Collect payment for completed jobs.
