About The Position

Hole in the Wall Drywall Repair of Chicago Metro is hiring an entry-level Technician Apprentice to learn the drywall and painting trades while supporting experienced technicians on construction projects. The role includes assisting with project work, preparing job sites and materials, learning tools and techniques, and following safety procedures. The company describes consistent year-round work, opportunities for advancement, and a respectful environment focused on craftsmanship. Compensation is $17.00–$19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and legal authorization to operate a motor vehicle in Illinois.
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) meeting company and commercial auto insurance requirements: no DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years; no reckless driving convictions within the past 3 years; no more than 1 moving violation within the past 3 years; no more than 1 at-fault accident within the past 5 years; and no current suspension or revocation of driving privileges.
Successful driving-record review and approval under company insurance requirements for employment involving company vehicle operation.
Maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment.
Willingness to learn and strong work ethic.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

Develop trade skills in drywall installation and painting.
Assist skilled technicians with drywall and painting projects.
