About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Porter / Yard Worker (also described as a Yard Associate) to station and retrieve equipment on the location’s property. The role maintains a written maintenance schedule and may service equipment as necessary to ensure equipment meets specifications. The Yard Associate inspects equipment before and after rentals to document lost or damaged equipment. This position offers on-the-job training and opportunities to advance into mechanic, driver, or customer service roles. The work takes place in a safety-focused, fast-paced environment and may involve working indoors or outdoors as required.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with customers in writing and verbally.
Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
General mechanical aptitude.
Safety-focused approach.
Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors when required by the job.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred.
Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required based on location needs.
