About The Position

Caliber Collision is hiring a Technician Apprentice Program (TAP) – Body Apprentice to perform general duties that may include repairing damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition using industry-approved repair techniques. The apprentice is responsible for learning the program’s training material and hands-on skills, and follows a mentor’s direction while learning to read estimates, identify damage, repair vehicles, and check work for quality and accuracy.

No prior experience is required. After completing the program, apprentices can graduate with the skills for a body technician career and earning potential of $70,000 or more per year. The role is based at the Service Center Evansville - West.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber’s insurance policy.
• Be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.
• Ability to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous collision experience.
• Collision Vo-Tech certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform general duties, including repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved repair techniques.
