About The Position

SunStrong Management is seeking a senior field leader for its solar operations and maintenance work. The Technician 5 performs advanced electrical work and complex troubleshooting, leads high-complexity service jobs, and develops field technicians. The role requires a Master Electrician License in Illinois. Work involves outdoor conditions and driving, as well as working on roofs at varying pitches and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of solar or electrical experience.
• Valid Master Electrician License.
• Proven leadership and training capability.
• Valid driver’s license, subject to a driver record check.
• Ability to work on roofs at various roof-pitch heights.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced electrical work, including main panel modifications and line-side taps.
• Troubleshoot complex systems.
• Lead high-complexity service jobs.
• Train and mentor field technicians.
• Ensure quality, safety, and proper documentation.
• Provide field feedback on processes, materials, and performance.
