About The Position

SunStrong Management is seeking a Technician 3 to diagnose and troubleshoot solar systems and lead field crews performing service work. The role includes resolving inverter failures, system underperformance, and complex issues while supporting Technician 1 and Technician 2 team members. The technician is expected to deliver high-quality work and achieve first-pass resolution. The position requires outdoor roof work, driving, and extended periods outdoors.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of solar experience.
• Proven troubleshooting capability.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver's license, subject to a driver record check.
• Crew lead experience for solar service work.
• Roof and electrical competency.
• Expertise in solar diagnostics and repair.
• Authorization to perform battery (ESS) work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve inverter failures.
• Diagnose and resolve solar system underperformance.
• Perform complex solar system troubleshooting.
• Lead crews on solar service jobs.
• Direct and support Technician 1 and Technician 2 team members.
• Ensure high-quality work and first-pass resolution.
