About The Position

SunStrong Management is seeking a Technician 3 to diagnose and troubleshoot solar systems and lead field crews on service work. The role includes resolving inverter failures, system underperformance, and other complex issues, while supporting Tech 1 and Tech 2 team members and ensuring high-quality work and first-pass resolution. The position requires roof and electrical competence, solar diagnostics and repair expertise, and authorization to perform battery (ESS) work. Outside roof work and driving are required.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of solar experience.
• Proven troubleshooting capability.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver’s license, subject to a driver record check.
• Capability to lead crews on solar service work.
• Roof and electrical competence.
• Expertise in solar diagnostics and repair.
• Authorization to perform battery (ESS) work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve inverter failures.
• Diagnose and resolve solar system underperformance.
• Perform complex solar system troubleshooting.
• Lead crews on solar service jobs.
• Direct and support Tech 1 and Tech 2 team members.
• Ensure high-quality work and first-pass resolution.
