About The Position

Aggreko is hiring a Technician 2 Temp Control or Power based in Dallas, Texas, at its service center. The role supports customers by maintaining and repairing equipment used for power distribution, heating, cooling, and oil-free air. Technicians perform work in the shop and may work independently or with other technicians to set up and operate equipment. The position may require travel to work locations and availability for standby work outside regularly scheduled shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 7 years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Ability to read and understand schematics.
• Valid driver’s license.
• May be required, depending on customer requirements, to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Ability to safely meet the physical demands of the role and pass a post-offer physical abilities assessment.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs, push or pull 80 lbs, carry 60 lbs, climb stairs and ladders, climb while carrying objects weighing 15 lbs, and stoop, kneel, and squat.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods; walk over uneven terrain with functional balance; move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion; and safely manipulate, grip, and hold tools and stair railings or ladders.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• Set up and operate equipment in the shop, independently or alongside other technicians.
• Travel to work locations when needed and be available for standby work outside regularly scheduled shifts.
