About The Position

Manufacturing Sciences Corporation (MSC) is seeking a Technical Writer to translate complex processes into clear, usable documentation. This role is central to operations, partnering with various teams to create, control, and improve essential organizational documents. The position offers visibility and impact, allowing the writer to collaborate with subject-matter experts, organize information, and manage documentation throughout its lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and general computing software
  • Familiarity with document control and records management practices
  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Comfortable communicating across all levels of the organization
  • Strong communicator who can explain technical content clearly—both in writing and conversation
  • Understands how documentation supports quality systems, compliance, and daily operations
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple documents, deadlines, and priorities
  • Can work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Tailors content to the audience—operators, engineers, leadership, or auditors

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or regulated environment
  • Prior exposure to quality systems, audits, or compliance documentation

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex technical processes into clear, user-friendly documentation for employees, customers, and auditors
  • Develop and maintain procedures, manuals, technical instructions, reports, and training materials
  • Interview and collaborate with subject-matter experts across Engineering, IT, Operations, Quality, EHS, and Health Physics
  • Own document control and records management processes, ensuring accuracy, version control, and security
  • Manage the master document list and oversee revisions throughout the document lifecycle
  • Receive, validate, file, retrieve, and archive controlled documents
  • Support internal and external quality audits by ensuring documentation is complete, current, and compliant
  • Continuously improve documentation structure, clarity, and consistency across the organization
