About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Technical Writer to provide enterprise-focused engineering support to a government customer. The Technical Writer will be responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation. They will write and edit technical documentation for all the project's hardware and software to include installation, configuration and how-to documentation. They will create code documentation for software; produce implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation and format technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of experience as a Technical Writer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Four (4) years of additional TW experience (at least 10 total years) may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Experience documenting systems, and systems of systems in accordance with systems engineering standards and practices.
• Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
