About The Position

This role requires a Technical Writer with 3+ years of experience to support CISA as the National Coordinator for Security and Resilience of U.S. Critical Infrastructure. The position involves implementing operational assessment findings, producing high-quality strategic and executive-level materials, conducting research on critical infrastructure and security policy, and ensuring compliance with DHS and CISA standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience implementing operational assessment findings.
• Experience producing strategic and executive-level materials (briefings, memos, white papers, leadership correspondence).
• Experience with CISA/DHS templates and formatting requirements.
• Ability to conduct research on critical infrastructure, cyber and physical security policy, cyber and physical threats, resilience, and ICT related issues.
• Proven experience in developing strategy papers, research memoranda, and issue analyses.
• Hands-on experience producing policy review summaries.
• Experience performing technical editing, quality assurance/quality control, and compliance reviews.
• Proficiency in using editing and publishing tools (Word, Acrobat, Drupal).
• Ability to ensure 508-compliant deliverables.
• Bachelor's Degree
• DHS Suitability clearance

Responsibilities

• Implement operational assessment findings to ensure progress in organizational model optimization.
• Proactively produce high-quality strategic and executive-level materials including briefings, memos, white papers, and leadership correspondence utilizing CISA/DHS templates and formatting requirements.
• Support adjudication of complex document packages including reports, templates, and graphics.
• Conduct research on critical infrastructure, cyber and physical security policy, cyber and physical threats, resilience, and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) related issues.
• Develop products summarizing key research findings.
• Develop strategy papers, research memoranda, and issue analyses for leadership.
• Produce policy review summaries assessing potential impacts on National Coordinator roles and responsibilities.
• Perform technical editing, quality assurance/quality control, and compliance reviews for accuracy, clarity, and tone in compliance with DHS and CISA standards, policies, and templates.
• Use editing and publishing tools (Word, Acrobat, Drupal) to produce templates, complete technical edits, and ensure 508-compliant deliverables.
