About The Position

MSX is seeking an experienced automotive technician to serve as a Technical Training Instructor supporting a premium Automotive OEM at a regional training facility in Mahwah, New Jersey. The instructor will deliver hands-on technical training to dealership technicians, strengthen their diagnostic capabilities, and contribute to dealership service excellence. The role includes classroom and practical instruction, learner assessment, training-record management, collaboration with corporate, regional, and dealership teams, and support for curriculum development and training-center operations. Occasional travel to other training locations is required.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of automotive repair and diagnostic experience.
• At least 3 years of experience training OEM dealership technicians.
• OEM Master Technician or ASE Master Technician certification.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Strong presentation, communication, and classroom facilitation skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Electric vehicle (EV) experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom and hands-on technical training for dealership technicians.
• Prepare vehicles, tools, and workshop environments for experiential learning.
• Teach diagnostic strategies and repair procedures across various vehicle systems.
• Evaluate learner progress using competency-based assessments.
• Maintain training records and learning management systems.
• Collaborate with corporate, regional, and dealership teams to support training objectives.
• Assist with curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support training-center operations, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep.
• Occasionally travel to deliver training at additional locations.
