About The Position
MSX is seeking an experienced automotive technician to serve as a Technical Training Instructor supporting a premium Automotive OEM at a regional training facility in Mahwah, New Jersey. The instructor delivers hands-on and classroom technical training to dealership technicians, strengthens diagnostic capabilities, and supports the development of automotive professionals. The role also contributes to curriculum improvement and the operation and upkeep of the training center. Occasional travel to additional training locations is required.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of automotive repair and diagnostic experience.
- At least 3 years of experience training OEM dealership technicians.
- OEM Master Technician or ASE Master Technician certification.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Strong presentation, communication, and classroom facilitation skills.
- Valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- Electric vehicle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate classroom and hands-on technical training for dealership technicians.
- Prepare vehicles, tools, and workshop environments for experiential learning.
- Teach diagnostic strategies and repair procedures across various vehicle systems.
- Evaluate learner progress using competency-based assessments.
- Maintain training records and learning management systems.
- Collaborate with corporate, regional, and dealership teams to support training objectives.
- Assist with curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support training center operations, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep.
- Travel occasionally to deliver training at additional locations.
