About The Position

Plans, develops, and implements technical product training programs for customers, and/or employees, and field support personnel. Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules. Obtains information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software and product requirements to prepare training programs; prepares lesson plans and training materials; designs product demonstrations; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions, product demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. May administer tests. Continuously revises lesson plans to ensure course material reflect product features, meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. May include military trainers. Requirements

  • Experience with hand soldering surface mount, through‑hole, and wires at the circuit card level.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate defects.
  • SAP and manufacturing skills and knowledge.
  • Specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks, and 3 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of an integrated team.
  • Technical trainer with hands‑on soldering expertise and a keen eye for defect identification, capable of teaching complex concepts in classroom and lab settings.
  • Ability to communicate technical information.
  • Ability to guide integrated teams.
  • Ability to apply SAP and manufacturing knowledge to improve processes.

  • Teaching in a classroom/Lab environment
  • Experience as a process instructor in bonding applications
  • IPC 610/J-STD certification and the ability to become an instructor
