About The Position

This is an extra duty opportunity for the 26-27 School Year, specifically for the Spring Play. The role involves assisting with auditions, rehearsals, and the construction of sets, sound, props, and lighting for the Spring season. This includes a mainstage play, other theatre events as determined by class schedules, and special events. The position also assists with publicity, costumes, and house management. A key responsibility is designing the set for the spring mainstage productions and mentoring student one-act designers. Additionally, the role involves organizing theatre spaces and assisting with the ordering and distribution of materials for the after-school theatre program.

Responsibilities

• Helps manage auditions, rehearsal, and build for the Spring season, including a Spring mainstage play, other theatre events as prescribed by class schedules and structures, and special events.
• Plans, executes, and supervises all tech builds (set, sound, props and lighting).
• Assists in publicity, costumes, and house management for all yearly theatre events.
• Designs the set for spring mainstage productions.
• Mentors student one-act designers when applicable.
• Organizes theatre spaces.
• Assists with ordering and distribution of materials for the after-school theatre program.
