About The Position

The Theatre Technical Director/Scene Shop Manager is responsible for training and managing paid and volunteer student labor, organizing student run crews, and building sets for 4 shows per year based on designer's models and drawings. This role also involves co-teaching a stage craft class and designing one production annually.

Requirements

Undergraduate degree in theatre or equivalent
Evidence of scenic designs
Experience in scenic construction
Experience working with students
Scenic carpentry
Drafting
Organizational skills and planning abilities
Painting and properties construction

Nice To Haves

MA/MFA in technical theatre
2 years experience in scenic construction at the college level (or equivalent)
Teaching experience

Responsibilities
