The Technical System Support Specialist provides advanced technical support across enterprise IT environments, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of systems including servers, desktops, virtualization platforms, and enterprise applications. As a Technical Systems Support Specialist, you will provide advanced technical support for IT systems, hardware, and software across diverse client environments. You will support, install, and manage desktop and server operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Server (2016 or newer). You will collaborate closely with client staff and contractors while participating in internal meetings and technical planning. You will review vulnerability assessments and partner with IT teams to plan and implement remediation strategies. You will administer virtualization platforms such as Omnissa Horizon (formerly VMWare) and assist with DMZ server management. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex, escalated service desk issues requiring advanced expertise. You will support directory services and infrastructure, including Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Intune, and SMS. You will maintain server security through group policy management and system hardening practices. You will perform additional duties as assigned to support IT operations and business needs.
