About The Position

Develops long range project plan scopes of work and budgets. Executes assigned planned O&M projects and capital projects. Assists ETS -E manager with the Outage Planning process, Boiler Tube Failure Reduction process, Risk Register and the 5-year budget plan and project management as needed and assigned in the ETS support group.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of Power Plant Maintenance related experience.
• 2 years of demonstrated experience in a Project Management role.
• Power plant major component repair; MAXIMO, AIMM; ROP, OPP, Risk Register, Supply Chain and Accounting policies and procedures.
• EH&S policy knowledge; Compliance standards, especially Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Knowledge of industry standards related to modification of plant components and engineering standards.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• ASME codes applicable to large power boilers and steam piping.
• Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition to employment in this position. Entergy will not sponsor candidates for work visas for this position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee long range and detailed project planning and execution of assigned unit projects according to the outage planning process.
• Manages cost, schedule and safety processes for all assigned project scopes of work.
• Interfaces with Plant Management personnel to communicate and drive to resolution of key issues impacting assigned projects.
• Foster positive working relationship with all ETS – E region plants.
• Manages as necessary to deliver expected financial, safety and schedule results on assigned, scopes, projects, Outage Planning Process Reviews, ECD and 5-year budget planning.
• Attend ETS monthly ROP meetings provides financial updates on assigned projects.
• Understands, negotiates, and influences contract language for vendors / contractors to protect Entergy's best interest.
