Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field
  • Experience in industrial sales, rotating equipment, pumps, valves, or power generation.
  • Strong understanding of power plant operations and maintenance.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical engineering degree
  • Worked in a power plant for 5-10 years
  • Knowledge of pump manufacturers
  • Understanding of maintenance, reliability, and plant outage planning.
  • Experience with capital equipment sales cycles.
  • Contract negotiation and strategic account management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with power generation customers, including: Natural gas power plants, Combined-cycle facilities, Nuclear plants, Coal-fired plants, Renewable energy facilities.
  • Identify opportunities for new pump equipment, upgrades, retrofits, repairs, and service contracts.
  • Provide technical consultation on pump applications, including: Boiler feed pumps, Condensate pumps, Cooling water pumps, Circulating water pumps, Slurry and ash handling pumps.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and bid responses.
  • Work with engineering and operations teams to develop customer solutions.
  • Conduct site visits and assess equipment performance.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms.
  • Manage sales forecasts and maintain CRM records.
  • Attend industry conferences and customer meetings.
