The Technical Support Specialist (TSS I) is a service-oriented and self-motivated IT support position. The TSS will work on maintaining and monitoring the computer systems and networks for the Migrant Summer School, with dedicated focus on supporting administration, faculty, and staff with initial program set-up and ongoing daily operations. Tasks include solving complex technical issues, collaborating with end-users across all departments, and acting as the first responder for building-level technical assistance, computer classrooms, and lab operations. Responsibilities include managing technical work orders, communicating ticket status to staff, and interacting positively with students, parents, and the community. Equipment and Software Management: Setup, configure, and perform operational checks on new or reallocated computer hardware, printers, and associated peripherals at the building level; install/reinstall and configure software according to WSD standards; and actively deploy student computer imaging, user/group accounts, and student assessment testing setups. Recommend improvements to technical operations and support district technology goals. Responsible for following Operational Technology Policies and Procedures. Attendance and punctuality are critical for this position. Other duties as assigned.
