About The Position

Inside the Role Daimler Truck Technical Support is looking for a driven, team-first and CX leading Technical Support Technician to help us keep the wheels turning. In this role, you will work directly with our dealer network, fleets, end users, and internal teams — solving problems, answering questions, and making sure our customers stay on the road. You’ll be a key part of our DTNA chassis support crew providing diagnostic, service and repair assistance, building your skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. We Take Care of Our Team What You Drive at DTNA Answer calls, emails, and electronic tickets from customers and teammates. Tackle technical service and parts questions for Freightliner and Western Star vehicles. Research solutions using internal tools, manuals, and databases. Utilize and interpret engineering bills of materials, parts breakdowns, drawings and assemblies, and wiring schematics. Ensure vehicle parameters are set correctly and facilitate corrections when appropriate. Collaborate with other DTNA departments, Plants, and/or suppliers as required to service customers swiftly and effectively. Keep detailed notes on customer interactions (because details matter). Analyze Virtual Technician, Telematics, or other related data and share insights with users. Flag complex issues or emerging patterns or technical issues to leadership. Make sure all safety and compliance protocols are followed. Jump into special projects or meetings as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in a relevant field or an associates degree with 2 years of experiences, or 4 years of experience with no degree.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Diesel technician experience is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and/or emerging AI tools and analysis.
  • Strong DTNA product knowledge, technical aptitude and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
  • Capable of handling special projects or assignments, while maintaining daily responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, holidays, and occasional after-hours support as needed.
  • Commitment to professionalism, customer service, and continuous learning.
