About The Position

Technical Support Engineers (TSEs) provide remote and on-site technical support to Field Support Organization (FSO) personnel for highly complex problems. These problems can involve equipment malfunction, on-wafer issues, and performance enhancement programs where first-line product support has been unable to resolve the issue. TSEs utilize advanced troubleshooting methodologies to establish success criteria, develop comprehensive action plans, analyze and compile findings, perform root cause analysis, and support FSO repair activities through escalation closure. This specific role focuses on ALTA tools, both legacy and new, worldwide, with a particular emphasis on North America.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and effectively manage difficult problems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, VSPI, and ARK.
  • English (written and verbal) language proficiency.
  • +3 years of experience with Applied Materials (preferably on ALTA Mask tools) products or similar.
  • Minimum +3 years of semiconductor fab experience.

Nice To Haves

  • ALTA Engineering certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support multiple technical escalations, resolving them with a focus on time to resolution and quality of work.
  • Attend customer field issue meetings with FSO and collaborate with Business Unit (BU) engineers.
  • Recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
  • Publish Technical Lessons Learned, troubleshooting guides, and technical (ET) papers.
  • Provide on-site coaching to FSO personnel.
  • Support Alpha and Beta Site activities.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) development early in the product lifecycle and at key customer sites.
  • Support BU DFx (Design for Service / Install) projects.
  • Create, or collaborate in the creation of, innovative advanced troubleshooting tools.
