About The Position

The Technical Supervisor role involves overseeing assembly processes, managing personnel, and ensuring production goals are met. This position also assists with plant operations, including paperwork, logistics, and customer service. Key responsibilities extend to shipping and receiving, training new employees, managing inventory, and maintaining customer relations. The role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with manufacturing software and forklift operation. The Technical Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and adherence to company policies.

Requirements

Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.
1 to 3 years manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Regularly required to stand for long periods.
Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip).
Visual acuity including: NEAR ACUITY, FAR ACUITY, DEPTH PERCEPTION, COLOR VISION, FIELD OF VISION.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
Knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.
Forklift Operation (Certification Required).
Knowledge of background and policy of company, processing of produce, safety requirement, and any necessary knowledge.
Understanding of the function of the emergency stop switch.
Ability to remember and understand <Material and Safety of processing menu book>.
Powered Industrial Truck Certification (Propane, Gas, or Stand up if applicable).
Forklift Train the Trainer Certified.

Knowledge of billing methods.
Familiar with operation (60 days).

Responsibilities

Conducting pre-shift meetings.
Overseeing the assembly process of finished products.
Deployment of personnel on production lines.
Providing guidance and leadership to personnel and motivating Associates to reach basic proficiency in every position on the line.
Assisting the manager with the plant's paperwork, logistics, and customer service on an as-needed basis.
Managing shipping and receiving processes, including communication with planners and customers.
Directing forklift drivers.
Training new employees on production work instructions.
Conducting daily confirmation of empty racks and monthly inventory of empty racks and materials.
Maintaining the material warehouse product.
Communicating with customers via email, phone, and in person regarding meetings, audits, shipping/receiving, racks, and carriers.
Traveling to customer sites (BMW, Volvo, Inalfa).
Communicating employee issues/concerns to HR and assisting HR with employee information and paperwork.
Understanding FGA services, billing methods, and communicating with accounting to avoid late payments.
Communicating with third-party service providers for facility maintenance (e.g., lawn care, fire extinguisher examinations, water testing).
Organizing all shipping and receiving paperwork, invoices, and employee information.
Performing cleaning duties in bathrooms, break rooms, and conference rooms as needed.
Operating forklifts as needed to support production.
Ensuring adherence to safety requirements and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
