About The Position

This role involves overseeing production processes, managing personnel, and ensuring operational efficiency. The Technical Supervisor will conduct pre-shift meetings, oversee the assembly of finished products, deploy personnel to various lines, and provide guidance and leadership to associates. A key aspect of the role is maintaining basic proficiency in every position on the line to effectively support the team. For Fuyao Group South Carolina, this position also includes assisting the manager with plant paperwork, logistics, and customer service as needed. Specific responsibilities span Shipping & Receiving, Training, Inventory management, Customer Service, Human Resources support, Invoice processing, communication with third-party services, Bookkeeping, and occasional cleaning duties. Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods.
  • Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip)
  • Visual acuity including: NEAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less; FAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more; DEPTH PERCEPTION - Three-dimensional vision; COLOR VISION - Ability to identify and distinguish colors; FIELD OF VISION - Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.
  • Operates forklifts, as needed, to support Production.
  • Background and policy of company, Processing of produce, safety requirement, and any necessary knowledge.
  • Wearing of workshop personal protective equipment
  • Understanding the function of the emergency stop switch

Nice To Haves

  • 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Fuyao products and PLEX system
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving process
  • Communication with FGA planners and customers
  • Production work instruction knowledge
  • Knowledge of human resources and attendance system
  • Knowledge of all FGA services
  • Knowledge of billing methods
  • Powered Industrial Truck Certification. Propane, Gas, or Stand up if applicable & Forklift Train the Trainer Certified

Responsibilities

  • Conducting pre-shift meetings
  • Overseeing the assembly process of finished products
  • Deployment of personnel on production lines
  • Providing guidance and leadership to personnel and motivation of Associates
  • Maintaining basic proficiency of every position on the line
  • Assisting the manager with plant paperwork, logistics, and customer service
  • Managing shipping and receiving processes, including communication with planners and customers, and directing forklift drivers
  • Training new employees on work instructions and human resources/attendance systems
  • Conducting daily confirmation of empty racks and monthly inventory of empty racks and materials
  • Maintaining material warehouse product
  • Communicating with customers via email, phone, and in person regarding meetings, audits, shipping/receiving, racks, and carriers
  • Making trips to BMW, Volvo, and Inalfa
  • Communicating employee issues/concerns to FGA HR
  • Assisting Dayton HR with employee information, paperwork, and communications
  • Processing invoices and ensuring timely payments
  • Communicating with contractors regarding facility maintenance (e.g., lawn care, fire extinguisher examinations, water testing)
  • Organizing shipping and receiving paperwork, invoices, and employee information
  • Performing occasional cleaning of bathrooms, break rooms, and conference rooms
  • Other duties as assigned
