About The Position

The Technical Specialist will work onsite in Atlanta, Georgia, for Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify. The role supports engineering projects by building and reworking prototypes, testing electronic and wireless products, troubleshooting hardware, and assisting with product verification and design validation. The position also involves maintaining laboratory equipment and calibration, collaborating across development units, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Up to 30% travel between Midtown Atlanta and Peachtree City is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or an associate's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience with laboratory equipment, soldering, and testing.
Ability to read, interpret, and implement standard test requirements.
Excellent analytical thinking and time management skills.
Basic Word and Excel skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Willingness to travel up to 30% between Midtown Atlanta and Peachtree City.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.

Responsibilities

Perform PCB assembly, soldering, rework, and prototype builds for engineering projects.
Set up and implement electrical, functional, and validation testing of electronic and wireless products.
Operate laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and electronic loads.
Maintain laboratory equipment and calibration.
Troubleshoot hardware issues and support root cause investigations on PCBAs and systems.
Assist engineers with prototype development, product verification, and design validation activities.
Collaborate across multiple development units.
Develop and support continuous improvement initiatives.
