About The Position

As the Technical Sourcer, you’ll ensure that Blacksmith continues to identify, engage with, and hire the highest-caliber engineers in the market. The quality of the talent bar has driven the company’s success, and this role will help ensure Blacksmith continues to meet and exceed those expectations. Blacksmith builds infrastructure for fast, cost-effective CI workloads using its own global fleet of bare-metal machines. The company is extending this infrastructure into a broader platform for agent sandboxes and a background coding agent.

Requirements

At least 3 years of engineering sourcing experience within a fast-paced startup environment, with a rigorous talent bar.
Ability to engage with and understand highly technical content and craft genuinely compelling messages from it.
Exceptional knowledge of the broader technical talent landscape and where the best engineers are.
Experience with the latest sourcing tools and ability to craft accurate, scalable AI workflows.
Autonomy and enjoyment of a challenging environment that pushes for excellence and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

Own sourcing strategy for engineering roles across systems and product engineering.
Build talent pools and identify high-caliber engineering networks to tap into.
Research engineering talent through research papers, technical blogs, open-source contributions, social media activity, and conference talks.
Identify differentiated ways to engage engineers.
Craft engaging outreach that appeals to and receives responses from top engineers.
Track pipeline data and identify challenges and opportunities within the hiring funnel.
