As a Technical Services Intern for PCL Industrial Construction Co. you'll have the opportunity support the team in building reports and analytics that help people make better business decisions. This role is a good fit for a student who is interested in data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), business intelligence, and new technology.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
An interest in artificial intelligence, data analytics, business intelligence, and modern data platforms.
Ability to learn new technology and understand both business and technical concepts.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to take initiative.
Able to work independently with guidance and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or another reporting tool.
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, or another cloud data platform.
Some experience with SQL, Python, R, or another data analysis tool.
A basic understanding of data modeling, data visualization, or reporting.
Experience analyzing data and explaining what it shows through school, personal projects, or work.
Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or generative AI.

Responsibilities

Help analyze datasets to find useful trends, patterns, and insights.
Help build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and other analytics tools.
Support data preparation, modeling, quality checks, and documentation in Microsoft Fabric and related platforms.
Join discussions with stakeholders to understand what they need and help turn those needs into useful reports and insights.
Explore AI tools that could improve reporting, analytics, or day-to-day business processes.
Help automate reports and improve existing data workflows.
Help maintain documentation and follow the team’s standards for reporting, analytics, and data governance.
Take part in improvement projects that use data and technology to make work more efficient.
Help prepare and share findings with the team and, when appropriate, business stakeholders.
